Hi! I’m Katie, your personal dog trainer.
My world became what it is today when I first got my dog, Maisie, 2 years ago. I’ll tell you, my girl is no easy feat. If you’re here reading this, I’m sure you relate! A fearful German Shepard and Belgian Malinois mix originally from an abusive home made for a tough go for her. Everyday we make progress, and it’s showing. Maisie started out with all the ‘problems’ as we call them. Fear reactive of people, dogs, and sounds, getting into altercations, incapable of leash walking, always crated, destructive behaviors. As the owner, this resulted in feelings of frustration and disappointment. Ultimately, it gave me the drive to provide what she needs to be the happy and confident dog I know and love! Today, we have redefined our lives to fit her needs. Maisie is dog selective, she requires a Do Not Pet patch on her vest to feel comfortable in public. She walks well in heel and we rarely use her crate.
Your dogs’ needs will of course look different from Maisie’s, and maybe you’re simply looking to revisit some obedience and manners! Regardless, she is a shining example of the outcomes waiting behind closed doors. I’ve helped many other dogs and their owners create a lifestyle that works. Owners just like you! Adult Obedience
I come to you, working in your dog’s everyday environment to teach or revisit basic obedience commands, proper leash walking, improving desired in home behavior and facilitating proper human and dog greetings.
These skills build improved behavior in public and confident socialization. I build lasting, good habits that are perfect for dogs of all ages.
4 Weeks - $240.00
Behavior Modification
Private one-on-one sessions uncover the why behind your dogs unwanted actions. Behavior challenges such as leash reactivity, anxiety, fear, barking, jumping, destruction and biting are addressed by a training plan curated to your dogs’ needs. Your dog is trying to communicate with you. Let’s start the conversation together.
6 Weeks - $450.00
Puppy Training
For puppies aged 1 year and younger, these positive and engaging sessions focus on building a strong, trust-centered relationship between you and your puppy.
I teach basic obedience, potty and crate training, proper leash walking and greetings, social etiquette, and desensitize your pup to sounds, touch, and objects. You’ll learn how to reinforce desirable behaviors, and create good long term manners and habits.
